just a quick post to let those of you I havent spoken to know that Dawn is back in the hospital and having surgery today. The adhesion is wrapped around her lower intestine and needs to be removed. This is the same situation she had in June.
Any good thoughts will be much appreciated. |

One of the softball coaches told me yesterday that....
You can renew a license at any AAA office.
Let me repeat that.
If you need to renew your regular (not commercial) license, which usually means a few hours sitting around a DMV, you can go to any AAA office with the renewal card you get in the mail and money and they will take the picture and make your new license! He also told me you dont even have to be a member, even though we are.

My brother's memorial service ended up with over two hundred people. They had to move it out of the funeral home and into a large church across the street.
I spoke briefly, I had to. I hope he liked it.
Kerry, Thank you for coming and supporting my family. I love you.

Back from Florida, tanned and rested.
Caroline, I miss you.
Renee is so much bigger and has these wild tufts of hair popping out all over. Shes so smooth and silky I forgot she'll be long-haired eventually.
Its cold as ass. I have no idea what this means except that my friend Linda says it, and well, it seems appropriate.
I will attempt to post a few pictures of our trip but LJ has abandoned its simple one-button picture upload dealie and you all know me well enough to know the rest.
It was between 75-80 degrees and sunny every.single.day.
Having Kerry join us was wonderful and we did a lot of talking and laughing.
One amusing thing. As we walked through the baggage claim in JFK airport, Dawn says, "Look to your left." There sat none other than Ice-T and his stripper wife, Coco.
He looked grumpy, was slouched in a hard plastic chair, and was eating a bag of potato chips. She looked, well, busty.
All I could think was, "What the fuck is he doing in the JetBlue claim area? Does he fly economy?"

Beyonce Knowles and Eva Longoria To Play Lesbian Lovers?

Beyonce Knowles and Eva Longoria will play lesbian lovers in a new movie. The gorgeous stars have revealed they are set to star in sexy Victorian drama 'Tipping The Velvet'.
Eva, 31, said: "Yes it's true. We are talking about doing the movie together. It's such a wonderful novel, a beautiful love story."
Director Sofia Coppola is hoping to bring Sarah Water's novel about sexual repression to the big screen and is desperate for Beyonce and Eva to take the roles of a 1890s music hall star, Kitty Butler, and her lesbian lover Nan Astley.
Beyonce, 25, thinks it is time the world was treated to a classic lesbian love story.
The singer, who was speaking at a New York benefit for ovarian cancer, said: "We've had 'Brokeback Mountain' so the time is right for this divine novel to get the same treatment."
Beyonce and Eva are said to be incredibly excited about the steamy love scenes and can't wait for filming on the project to start.
A source revealed: "They weren't at all coy about the sex scenes. In fact they both seemed to think it would be more fun than doing the same work with a man. It's going to be very hot."
The BBC's TV adaptation of 'Tipping The Velvet' caused outrage four years ago with its graphic sex scenes, which included cross-dressing and the use of sex toys. © BANG |

My niece sent us an email today as to our lack of Christmas lists!
As for Christmas, I have not done my shopping yet but I have compiled a list of what I'm going to buy, almost, might I add, completely without the aid of any Christmas lists, save Mom's. Joseph will love the ceramic penguin figurine I'm buying for him and I'm sure Dawn will forever treasure the latest in freshwater pearls from QVC. Whoops, I'm giving too much away. Well that's what happens when you don't have lists and it's WAY late in the shopping season. I forget Beth's shoe size, but with peep-toe pumps, you usually have room to spare. I love mine. I'm sure everyone who couldn't bother to turn in the time honored list this year will be very surprised indeed! Thanks for the (no) help!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The airplane that crashed into a Manhattan high-rise on Wednesday was owned by Yankees baseball pitcher Cory Lidle, sources at the New York police department told Reuters.
A spokesman for the Yankees declined to confirm the reports. A second representative for the famed baseball team said they were investigating the reports.
The FAA confirmed the plane was owned by Lidle, 34. CNN said the pilot was indeed Lidle and he is believed to have died.
